Aberfeldy 15 Year Old- Flora and Fauna

Details

Soft, honeyed and beautifully old fashioned, this rare Aberfeldy brings together ripe orchard fruit, heather honey and creamy malt with touches of vanilla, toasted nuts and gentle spice. A subtle waxiness and delicate floral character add complexity, while mature oak provides just enough dryness to keep everything balanced. Smooth and quietly elegant, it finishes with lingering honey, fruit and warming spice, making this a charming example of classic Highland whisky.

Aberfeldy 15 Year Old Flora & Fauna is considerably more collectible than the standard Flora & Fauna releases still produced today. It was one of the original United Distillers bottlings and was produced only between 1991 and 1998, ending when Aberfeldy was sold to Bacardi. Recent auction evidence remains healthy: a wooden box example achieved £190 in September 2025, while two Flora & Fauna bottles sold for €151 and €185 at Whisky Auktion Berlin in July 2026. Retail asking prices are now much higher, around £399 to £500, although these should not be confused with achieved values. We could not verify an older comparable auction result confidently enough to calculate CAGR, but our view is Invest: discontinued status, early Flora & Fauna provenance and a finite supply give this substantially stronger collector credentials than an ordinary Aberfeldy release.
