Ardnamurchan AD/02.22 is a 2022 distillery release combining whisky matured in ex bourbon and ex sherry casks, with 24,750 bottles produced. Unlike the tiny single cask Ardnamurchans, the relatively large outturn means scarcity alone is not the investment story here. Its appeal comes from being an early Ardnamurchan release, produced while the distillery was still establishing its reputation and before it had older age statement whisky on the market. Secondary market prices have generally remained around or below original retail, so there is no convincing historical growth trend yet. Our view: one to keep if you are building an Ardnamurchan collection. Its investment potential is longer term and tied to future demand for the distillery's formative releases rather than immediate rarity.
