Ardnamurchan AD/09.22 is a bold coastal single malt that perfectly balances vibrant peat with rich fruit and warming spice. Waves of smoky sea air, vanilla and citrus give way to ripe berries, toasted oak and a touch of sherry sweetness, creating a wonderfully layered and full bodied dram. The oily texture carries through to a long finish of gentle smoke, cracked pepper and lingering maritime salinity. Powerful yet remarkably refined, it's a whisky that showcases Ardnamurchan's signature coastal character at its very best.

Ardnamurchan AD/09.22 is the distillery’s second cask strength release, bottled in August 2022 using whisky distilled in 2014, 2015 and 2016, including spirit from Ardnamurchan’s inaugural production year. Around 18,000 bottles were produced, with an original UK price of roughly £65. The secondary market has moved firmly in the opposite direction: £39.38 at auction in 2023 and only £35 to £37.50 in January 2026, representing a decline of more than 40% from release price. Although early Ardnamurchan provenance is attractive, supply remains substantial and bottles are still available at retail. Our view: an excellent early release to experience, but current market evidence strongly favours drinking over investing.
