Rich, robust and beautifully sherried, this Benrinnes layers raisins, dark fruits and apricot with orange peel, roasted nuts and dark chocolate. Benrinnes 15 Year Old Flora & Fauna remains part of the active Flora & Fauna range, which limits the scarcity needed for meaningful investment growth. Unlike discontinued releases such as Clynelish or Glen Elgin, bottles are still readily available from UK retailers, generally around £60 to £70. The secondary market has been remarkably flat: comparable bottles have sold around £45 to £60 across different auction periods, with recent results still frequently below retail. Over the longer term this translates to roughly 0% annualised growth before auction fees, meaning collectors have seen virtually no real appreciation. Our view: Benrinnes is highly regarded and the 15 Year Old is one of the stronger Flora & Fauna whiskies to actually drink, but continuing availability makes the standard presentation a poor investment proposition.
