Details

Light and distinctly Lowland in style, this Bladnoch offers lemon, crisp green apple and soft pear alongside freshly cut grass and delicate floral tones. Honey and sweet cereal round out the fruit, while herbs and a touch of wax give the whisky a more curious, old fashioned dimension. The finish becomes gently dry and citrusy, with malt and subtle oak remaining behind, capturing the understated character of Bladnoch from an earlier era.

Bladnoch 10 Year Old Flora & Fauna is a discontinued Lowland release from the original series and was the last Diageo bottling of Bladnoch before the distillery changed ownership. Unlike many Flora & Fauna bottles, there is useful auction history: standard examples achieved £67.50 and £77.50 in September 2020, while a comparable bottle sold for £65 in February 2025. This indicates an annualised decline of roughly 2%, so historically it has not been a strong performer. The collector case is nevertheless interesting because production ended years ago and supply is permanently finite. Presentation matters enormously: early white capsule and wooden box versions can command substantially higher prices. Our view: keep it sealed, particularly an early presentation, but expect long term collectability rather than rapid appreciation.
