Details

Waxy, coastal and wonderfully old fashioned, this Clynelish combines honeyed malt and ripe orchard fruit with lemon peel, gentle smoke and a distinctive mineral edge. Subtle notes of beeswax, dried herbs and sea salt give the palate its unmistakable character, while pepper and mature oak add warmth and structure. Elegant yet slightly rugged, it finishes long and dry with lingering citrus, wax and a touch of maritime salinity.

Clynelish 14 Year Old Flora & Fauna is a discontinued bottling from the original Flora & Fauna era, produced between 1991 and 2002 before Clynelish 14 became an official core release. Unlike many bottles we have looked at, there is a substantial auction history. A standard bottle achieved £135 in April 2021, while a comparable example reached £160 in July 2026, giving an indicative CAGR of approximately +3%. Results have been volatile, however, ranging from £82.50 to £180 in recent years, while the rarer wooden box presentation achieved £170 in October 2025. Our view: discontinued status, strong Clynelish collector demand and its place in the original Flora & Fauna series make this worth keeping sealed, particularly if you have an early or wooden box presentation.
