Rich, fruity and wonderfully inviting, Glenborrodale 11 Year Old layers baked apple, dark berries and dried fruit with caramel, honey and creamy vanilla. Roasted nuts and chocolate bring extra richness, while orange peel and warming spice keep the sweeter flavours lively and balanced. Smooth and generously textured, it finishes with lingering fruit, gentle oak and sweet spice, making this a beautifully rounded blended malt with plenty of depth and character.

Glenborrodale 11 Year Old Adelphi is Batch 8, a blended malt bottled in 2021 with 1,404 bottles produced. Unlike Adelphi’s scarce single cask releases, this was a comparatively larger batch and the market has not developed much collector interest. Whisky Auctioneer confirms secondary market appearances, but I could not verify enough publicly accessible hammer prices across different years to calculate a genuine CAGR. More importantly, bottles remain available internationally, with Whiskybase currently tracking 11 retailers from around €57, while the original UK retail level was roughly £45 to £50. Our view: continued availability, a relatively large outturn and limited auction demand make this considerably stronger as a drinking bottle than an investment.
