Dark, luscious and intensely sherried, this Inchgower layers blackberry jam, red berries and orange marmalade with dark chocolate, treacle and rich espresso. Leather and warming spice add a deeper savoury character, while the naturally oily texture gives the whisky impressive weight and richness. Powerful yet nicely balanced, it finishes long with lingering dark fruit, cocoa and roasted coffee, making this a bold and deeply satisfying Inchgower.

Drink | Historical CAGR: Not established | Market outlook: Limited

Inchgower 2007 13 Year Old Adelphi is Cask 800651, bottled in 2021 after full maturation in a first fill Pedro Ximénez sherry butt, with 525 bottles produced. It originally retailed for £77.95, and the exact bottle has subsequently appeared at Whisky Auctioneer, Whisky Hammer, The Whisky Shop Auctions and The Grand Whisky Auction. However, the accessible archives do not provide enough verified hammer prices across different years to calculate a defensible CAGR. Whiskybase currently tracks a UK retail price of £98, only modestly above its original price five years later. Our view: the single cask and PX maturation make it appealing to drink, but 525 bottles, continued availability and limited auction demand weaken the investment case.
