Kavalan Solist Manzanilla

Kavalan Solist Manzanilla

Enquire
Details

Bold and intriguingly savoury, this Kavalan brings together dark cherries and dried fruit with salted caramel, roasted almonds and bittersweet chocolate. The Manzanilla cask adds a distinctive coastal dryness, joined by tobacco, walnut and aromatic spice that temper the sweeter fruit. The finish turns towards cocoa, nuttiness and a subtle saline note, giving this Solist an unusually complex character that stands apart from Kavalan’s richer sherry expressions.

Invest | Historical CAGR: approximately −3.6% | Market outlook: Cautiously positive

Kavalan Solist Manzanilla is one of the more unusual and collectible Solist variants, matured in individual Manzanilla sherry casks with relatively small outturns. The auction record is useful here: a 472 bottle cask achieved £180 in February 2020, while recent results include £130 in January 2025, £140 in March 2025, £150 in April 2025, £150 in December 2025, £240 for another cask in December 2025 and £220 in March 2026. Using the comparable £180 result in 2020 and £150 in 2025 gives an indicative CAGR of approximately −3.6%, although these are different single casks and individual values vary substantially. Our view is still Invest: Manzanilla is considerably less common than Kavalan’s standard sherry releases, individual casks are finite, and the £220 to £240 results show that collectors will pay meaningful premiums for desirable examples.
