Rich and expressive, this Miltonduff brings together red orange, honey and dark fruit with layers of dark chocolate and delicate floral notes. Warming spice and dry oak gradually emerge, giving the sweeter flavours a pleasantly bittersweet edge and plenty of structure. Full-bodied and powerful at cask strength, it finishes long with lingering cocoa, citrus and spice, making this a bold and characterful Speyside with an intriguing balance of sweetness and dryness.

Miltonduff 2007 12 Year Old Adelphi is Cask 800734, a refill sherry single cask bottled in 2020 with just 189 bottles produced. A verified Just Whisky auction in March 2021 achieved £70, while Whiskybase currently tracks one remaining European retail offer at €99.95. I searched specifically for further completed auctions for Cask 800734, but could not find another reliable hammer price far enough apart to calculate a genuine CAGR. Despite the tiny outturn, there is little evidence that collector demand has strengthened since release. Our view: the scarcity sounds impressive, but Miltonduff remains a niche collector distillery and this particular cask has not demonstrated meaningful appreciation. We would drink it rather than hold it specifically for investment.
