Intensely smoky yet surprisingly vibrant, Octomore 07.3 layers earthy peat and sea salt with bright citrus, ripe stone fruit and creamy vanilla. Caramel sweetness cuts beautifully through the smoke, while touches of tobacco, charred oak and savoury spice bring a darker, more rugged edge. Rich and oily on the palate, it finishes exceptionally long with lingering peat, coastal salinity and sweet fruit, delivering enormous intensity without losing its balance.

Octomore 07.3 Islay Barley is a 5 Year Old Bruichladdich release distilled in 2010 from barley grown at Octomore Farm and released in 2015. Unlike continuously available whisky, 07.3 belongs to a discontinued numbered Octomore generation, making supply permanently finite. UK auction history shows bottles trading around £100 to £120 in the late 2010s, with later results commonly moving into roughly £160 to £200 territory. That translates to an indicative long term CAGR of around +6%, although individual auction results fluctuate. Octomore also has a particularly strong collector identity, with enthusiasts increasingly seeking earlier numbered editions as the series expands. Our view: this is worth keeping sealed. The combination of an early discontinued release, Islay provenance and an established Octomore collector market gives 07.3 stronger investment credentials than most modern limited editions.
