Details

Delicate, fragrant and beautifully fresh, this Rosebank layers crisp apple and pineapple with bright citrus, floral honey and soft vanilla. Chamomile, fresh hay and gentle grassy notes bring a distinctive Lowland character, while subtle malt and light spice add just enough depth. Silky and elegant on the palate, it finishes clean with lingering citrus, orchard fruit and delicate florals, making this a wonderfully graceful example of classic Rosebank.

Rosebank 12 Year Old Flora & Fauna is one of the most collectible bottles from the original series. Released in the early 1990s, it became particularly significant after the original Rosebank distillery closed in 1993, leaving this as one of the relatively accessible official bottlings of old distillery stock. Historical auction results show a clear long term rise: bottles that could trade around £180 to £220 in the mid 2010s have subsequently achieved roughly £300 to £400, with presentation and condition creating considerable variation. That equates to an indicative CAGR of around +5%. Rosebank has since been revived, but whisky distilled at the original distillery remains a separate collector proposition. Our view: definitely keep this one sealed. Discontinued Flora & Fauna status, old Rosebank provenance and sustained secondary market demand give it considerably stronger investment credentials than most bottles in the series.
