Comforting and effortlessly inviting, this Glen Spey is packed with notes of buttery shortbread, vanilla custard and runny honey, lifted by fresh lemon zest and crisp orchard fruits. As it opens, hints of toasted oats, delicate florals and gentle oak add depth, while a silky texture carries through to a long, satisfying finish with soft spice and lingering sweetness. Rich without being heavy, it's a wonderfully balanced dram that perfectly captures the charm of its playful name.

Drink | Historical CAGR: Not established | Market outlook: Limited

Casual Biscuit Scoffing is SMWS 80.26, a 9 Year Old Glen Spey distilled in 2012 and released in 2021 from a first fill ex bourbon hogshead, with only 291 bottles produced. Its original UK release price was £62. Today it has largely disappeared from normal retail, although Whiskybase records a €65 listing, while much higher specialist asking prices should not be treated as genuine market value. Crucially, we could not find enough verified auction transactions to establish a reliable price trend or CAGR. Glen Spey also has relatively modest collector demand. Our view: genuinely scarce, but scarcity has not translated into proven demand, making this a much stronger bottle to drink than to hold for investment.
