Playful and confectionery driven, this whisky bursts with rum and raisin fudge, buttery shortbread and lemon meringue pie, sharpened by kumquat and lime marmalade. Green apple and pineapple bring a juicy lift, while candle wax and lemongrass add an intriguing twist beneath the sweetness. Ginger, peppermint and five spice take over towards the finish, leaving a lively mix of fruit, citrus and aromatic warmth.

Drink | Historical CAGR: Not established | Market outlook: Limited

Juice for a Loose Caboose is SMWS 135.31, an 11 Year Old Inchmoan from Loch Lomond, distilled on 9 April 2009 and matured in a second fill ex bourbon hogshead. Only 212 bottles were produced. I checked specifically for auction history and found a confirmed Whisky Auctioneer appearance in October 2021, but not enough publicly accessible achieved prices across different years to calculate a defensible CAGR. The bottle is now difficult to find, yet an 84.35 Whiskybase score and limited evidence of secondary market competition suggest scarcity has not translated into strong collector demand. Our view: interesting and genuinely scarce, but the evidence still favours drinking rather than investing.
