Deep and aromatic, ARARAT Dvin brings dried fruit and plum together with roasted hazelnut, dark chocolate and coffee. Tobacco leaf and clove introduce a more savoury dimension, while cinnamon, nutmeg and mature oak build complexity as it develops. The finish turns pleasantly dry, leaving cocoa, nuts and fragrant spice behind in a distinctive expression of traditional Armenian brandy.

Ararat Dvin is a premium Armenian brandy produced by the Yerevan Brandy Company and created from aged Armenian eaux de vie, with Dvin historically positioned above the standard Ararat range. Unlike the tiny single cask whiskies we have been assessing, Dvin is an ongoing commercial bottling rather than a finite release. Current UK and European bottles remain readily obtainable, while secondary market appearances are sporadic and generally do not demonstrate a meaningful premium over retail. Older Soviet era Dvin bottles can be genuinely collectible, but they represent a different market from the modern Ararat Dvin. Our view: for the current bottling, continuing supply and limited auction demand make drinking much more compelling than investing. Vintage Soviet examples should be assessed separately because age and presentation can change the conclusion substantially.
