Ardmore 2003 8 Year Old Adelphi is Cask 800017, bottled in February 2011 after maturation in a first fill American oak barrel, with only 240 bottles produced. It originally retailed for £53.49, while a verified Whisky Auctioneer sale achieved £75 in July 2021. That represents roughly 40% appreciation and an indicative CAGR of about +3.4% over the first decade after release. Trading since then is extremely thin and there is no current tracked retail stock, so we would treat that growth cautiously rather than as a strong established trend. Our view: early Adelphi provenance, 2003 vintage and only 240 bottles make this worth keeping sealed, although Ardmore's relatively modest collector following limits the upside.
