Bright and gently aromatic, this Auchroisk starts with green apple, citrus and honey before moving into sweet malt, vanilla and a faint waxiness. Toasted almond and fresh herbs add contrast, with pepper and restrained oak bringing a crisp, drier turn. The final impression is clean and cereal driven, leaving orchard fruit, citrus peel and subtle spice behind.

Auchroisk 10 Year Old Flora & Fauna is one of the more obscure releases in the range, which gives it enthusiast appeal because Auchroisk is rarely encountered as an official single malt. However, rarity of the distillery name has not translated into meaningful price appreciation. Historical auction results have generally remained in the £35 to £50 region, with recent bottles still changing hands around similar levels. The whisky also remains available through specialist retailers, limiting the scarcity premium seen with discontinued Flora & Fauna releases such as Clynelish or Glen Elgin. Over the longer auction record, prices are essentially flat, giving an indicative CAGR around 0%. Our view: interesting whisky, but currently little evidence of investment demand. This is one to drink rather than store for appreciation.
