The sherry maturation brings hints of fruitcake and cocoa, while ginger and nutmeg introduce a lively aromatic kick. Aultmore Glenlivet 2010 12 Year Old Cadenhead’s Sherry Cask was bottled in winter 2022 after additional maturation in Oloroso sherry wood, with only 276 bottles produced. Despite that small outturn, the secondary market has not rewarded scarcity: a verified Just Whisky sale achieved only £60 in July 2023. Today retailer asking prices are substantially higher, including £150 at Master of Malt and £199.99 at Lochs of Whisky, but these are not achieved market values. I checked specifically for further completed auction results, but there are not enough comparable sales to calculate a defensible CAGR. Our view: an appealing scarce Cadenhead’s release, but the £60 auction result and lack of demonstrated collector momentum make drinking the stronger choice.
