Dark, rich and beautifully sherried, this Benrinnes layers blackberries, raisins and stewed plums with dark chocolate, roasted nuts and rich caramel. Benrinnes 2006 13 Year Old Adelphi Cask 305385 was bottled in 2019 after maturation in a first fill Oloroso sherry hogshead, with only 267 bottles produced. Its original UK retail price was £76.95. A verified January 2025 auction achieved £61.95, around 20% below its original retail price and equivalent to an indicative annualised decline of roughly 4%. Benrinnes has enthusiast appeal and this is a genuinely scarce, heavily sherried Adelphi single cask, but scarcity has not translated into price appreciation. Our view: unless demand for older Adelphi releases strengthens considerably, this is better enjoyed than held specifically for financial return.
