Edradour 2008 10 Year Old Straight From The Cask Cask 16 was distilled in January 2008, matured in a single sherry butt and bottled in February 2018 as a 50cl release of 933 bottles. It originally retailed for £57.64. More importantly, we have repeat auction evidence for the exact cask: Whisky.Auction recorded £70 in March 2021 and exactly £70 again in May 2024, producing a flat secondary market CAGR of approximately 0%. Our view: it is now difficult to find and has strong enthusiast appeal, but scarcity has not translated into price growth. Unless Edradour collecting strengthens considerably, this is a bottle we would open rather than preserve specifically for investment.
