Soft, fruity and beautifully old fashioned, this Glen Elgin opens with ripe pear, baked apple and honeyed malt, followed by creamy vanilla, toasted almonds and a touch of citrus. Gentle floral notes and warming spice add depth, while a subtle waxiness gives the palate extra character. Smooth and quietly complex, it finishes with lingering orchard fruit, sweet malt and delicate oak, making this an elegant and wonderfully approachable Speyside.

Whisky Online Auctions records 14 sales, rising from £125 in November 2013 to £260 at the market peak in 2020, before cooling to £140 to £155 in late 2025. A separate Whisky Hammer sale achieved £170 in March 2025, while Just Whisky recorded another £170 in January 2026. Using the comparable £125 result in 2013 and £170 in 2026 gives an indicative CAGR of approximately +2.4%. Our view: the recent correction prevents a stronger outlook, but discontinued Flora & Fauna status, increasingly limited supply and established collector interest make this worth keeping sealed.
