Dark, powerful and intensely sherried, this GlenAllachie is packed with raisins, black cherries and sticky dates, layered with dark chocolate, treacle and roasted nuts. Orange peel and warming spice cut through the richness, while espresso and dry oak bring a deeper, more savoury edge. Thick and concentrated at cask strength, it finishes long with lingering dried fruit, cocoa and spice, making this a bold, indulgent Speyside with serious character.

Glenallachie 2007 10 Year Old Adelphi is Cask 900828, a heavily sherried single cask bottled in 2017 with only 592 bottles produced. Contemporary UK retail was around £72, while a verified Just Whisky auction in January 2019 achieved £55. The bottle has since become difficult to find and a later specialist retailer listed it at £109 before selling out, but that is an asking price rather than an auction result. I searched specifically for Cask 900828 across the auction archives and could not verify a second completed hammer price suitable for calculating CAGR. Our view: the Adelphi provenance and pre Billy Walker Glenallachie spirit make it interesting, but the available market evidence does not yet support an investment case. We would drink it.
