Red berries and blackberry jam lead into orange chocolate, toasted almonds and bittersweet coffee. Tobacco and dried apple give the sweeter sherry character a more savoury dimension, while peppery oak adds a gentle bite. Dark chocolate and raisin biscuit emerge towards the close, creating a distinctive Hazelburn that combines fruity richness with the slightly rustic character of Campbeltown.

Hazelburn 13 Year Old 2007 Oloroso Cask Matured was distilled in June 2007 and bottled in September 2020 after full maturation in Oloroso sherry casks, with 9,900 bottles released. Importantly, this one has a meaningful auction trail. Results moved from roughly £83 to £95 in late 2021 to £120 to £150 during 2023, before settling around £100 to £120 through 2025 and 2026. Using £83 in November 2021 and £100 in June 2026 gives an indicative CAGR of approximately +4%. The market has clearly cooled from its peak, but values remain above the original release price of roughly £60. Our view: the Springbank connection, discontinued vintage release and sustained secondary market demand make this worth keeping sealed, even though we would not expect the rapid appreciation seen during the earlier Springbank boom.
