Details

Dark berries and ripe grapes lead into caramelised fruit and sweet oak, shaped by the unusual Vino cask maturation. Cocoa and toasted nuts add a deeper dimension, while peppery spice brings energy to the youthful spirit. The finish moves towards dark fruit, charred sugar and seasoned wood, giving this rare Taiwanese single cask a bold and unconventional personality.

Invest | Historical CAGR: approximately +5% | Market outlook: Speculative

Holy Cask Salvation Vino is a particularly unusual Taiwanese single malt from Holy Distillery, founded only in 2016. This is Cask 8, distilled in March 2017 and bottled in July 2021 after four years in a Vino cask, with only 300 50cl bottles produced. The best auction evidence comes from sets containing both Salvation Vino and Virgin Cask: the pair achieved £76.50 in October 2021, followed by £86 and £95 in December 2021. More recent retail evidence places the Vino bottle alone at €175.45, although it is sold out, so that is an asking price rather than an achieved value. With no clean recent single bottle hammer price, the roughly +5% CAGR is indicative rather than definitive. Our view: keep it sealed. Its investment appeal comes from being an extremely early Holy Distillery release, tiny production and unusual Taiwanese provenance, but the collector market is still developing.
