Sweet corn and raspberry introduce a bright, fruity character, followed by vanilla, toasted grain and fresh American oak. Rye adds a peppery lift while wheat softens the palate, allowing caramel and gentle spice to develop underneath. The four grain recipe gives this small batch New York bourbon an appealing mix of sweetness, cereal richness and lively oak.

Drink | Historical CAGR: approximately −4% | Market outlook: Limited

Hudson Baby Bourbon has an interesting place in American craft whiskey history as Tuthilltown’s pioneering New York bourbon, made entirely from New York corn and matured in unusually small new oak casks. It has since been discontinued, but that has not translated into strong collector appreciation. The 35cl bottle achieved £30 at auction in both 2018 and 2019, falling to £22 in 2021. More recently, a 70cl 2018 Batch 25 bottle achieved €66 in March 2026. Using the comparable 35cl results gives an indicative CAGR of roughly −4% between 2018 and 2021. Our view: discontinuation and historical significance make it interesting, but auction demand remains too weak to make a convincing investment case. This is one to drink.
