Details

Fresh, savoury and distinctly coastal, this Inchgower combines crisp green apple, apricot and citrus with sweet malt, fresh hay and a subtle maritime saltiness. Ginger and cracked pepper bring a lively spicy edge, while gentle oak adds dryness and structure. Slightly oily and pleasantly robust, it finishes with lingering citrus, spice and a touch of sea salt, giving this lesser known Speyside malt a wonderfully distinctive character.

Drink | Historical CAGR: approximately +2.3% | Market outlook: Limited

Inchgower 14 Year Old Flora & Fauna has a surprisingly extensive auction history, but long term performance has been modest. A standard bottle achieved £30 in May 2016, rising to £50 in 2018 and £70 in 2020, before falling back to £40 in 2022, £45 in 2024 and £37.50 in July 2026. Using the comparable £30 result in 2016 and £37.50 in 2026 gives an indicative CAGR of approximately +2.3%. More importantly, aggregated data covering 274 auction lots puts the recent median hammer price at only £40. Older white capsule and wooden box presentations can command considerably more, so those should be treated separately. Our view: the standard bottle has not demonstrated enough sustained appreciation to justify holding it for investment.
