Lusciously rich and fruit driven, this Kavalan bursts with ripe berries, plums and dark cherries, layered with creamy vanilla, caramel and smooth dark chocolate. The Port cask brings a deep wine like sweetness, while warming spice, toasted nuts and gentle oak add structure and keep the richness beautifully balanced. Full bodied and velvety, it finishes long with lingering red fruit, cocoa and sweet spice, making this an indulgent yet impressively composed Kavalan.

Kavalan Solist Port Cask is a series of individually numbered single casks, typically with exceptionally small outturns of around 180 to 220 bottles. Older examples have demonstrated genuine collector interest, including a standard single cask that achieved £140 at auction in 2020, while a special Asian Palate Association release reached £220. More recently, however, results have softened, with a 192 bottle Port Cask selling for £85 in March 2026. Current releases remain available from roughly €110 upwards, depending heavily on the individual cask. Our view: the single cask format, tiny production and Kavalan reputation make it worth preserving, but performance varies too much between casks to treat the range as a proven investment.
