Smoke Wagon Uncut Unfiltered is a bold, full strength bourbon that delivers exceptional richness without sacrificing balance. Intense notes of caramel, vanilla and maple syrup are layered with dark cherries, cinnamon and toasted pecans, while cracked black pepper and charred oak add depth and complexity. Smoke Wagon Uncut Unfiltered became a cult bourbon during the American whiskey boom, and UK auction prices reflected the excitement, with bottles reaching around £100 to £120 in 2021. The momentum has not lasted. A later batch sold for £85 in 2024, while the bourbon remains an ongoing release with numerous batches continuing to reach the market. Interestingly, UK retail can still be as high as £170, creating a sizeable gap between asking prices and what collectors have actually paid. Our view: Smoke Wagon has a loyal following, but continuing production and inconsistent batch collectability make meaningful appreciation difficult. Unless you have a particularly sought after early batch, this is one we would open rather than hold for investment.
