Details

SMWS "A Tea Room Special" is a wonderfully indulgent Glenlossie, packed with comforting layers of butterscotch, vanilla and caramel, balanced by bright citrus and delicate spice. Notes of honey, toasted coconut and ripe apricot add richness, while hints of fresh pastries and creamy custard give it an irresistibly smooth character. The finish is long and satisfying, with gentle oak and warming spice rounding everything off beautifully. Rich without being heavy, it's an elegant Speyside dram that perfectly lives up to its inviting name.

Drink | Historical CAGR: Not established | Market outlook: Limited

A Tea Room Special is SMWS 44.142, a 12 Year Old Craigellachie released in 2021 with only 229 bottles drawn from a single first fill bourbon barrel. Its tiny outturn makes it scarce, but the secondary market has remained remarkably quiet, with too few verified transactions to establish a meaningful growth rate. That distinction matters with SMWS: hundreds of bottles can be genuinely rare without becoming genuinely collectible. Craigellachie has a loyal following, but this particular cask has yet to attract the demand needed to turn scarcity into price appreciation. Our view: an increasingly difficult bottle to replace, but one whose greatest value still lies in opening it.
