SMWS "Juicy Chardonnay" is a wonderfully vibrant Highland single malt, bursting with ripe peach, juicy pear and crisp green apple, all wrapped in layers of creamy vanilla and honeyed malt. Bright citrus and delicate floral notes keep the palate fresh, while gentle oak and a touch of white pepper add structure and depth. Silky, fruit driven and beautifully balanced, it finishes with lingering orchard fruits and soft spice, making it an elegant and expressive dram that perfectly lives up to its name.

Released by SMWS in 2021, Juicy Chardonnay is Cask 122.45, a nine year old Croftengea from Loch Lomond with just 219 bottles produced. It originally sold to SMWS members for £48.40, yet despite the tiny outturn, there is little evidence of sustained secondary market trading or a meaningful collector premium. That is an important distinction: 219 bottles sounds extremely investable, but SMWS releases are numerous and rarity alone does not guarantee demand. Our view: an intriguing single cask with genuine scarcity, but without an established auction following, its drinking appeal currently outweighs its investment case.
