Just Beneath the Snowline is SMWS 71.84, an 8 Year Old Glenburgie released in 2021 with only 231 bottles from a single first fill bourbon barrel. Five years later it has disappeared from conventional retail and rarely resurfaces, but that scarcity has not produced a sufficiently active auction market to establish a credible CAGR. A specialist listing around £152 looks impressive, but it is unavailable and represents an asking price rather than evidence of what collectors will actually pay. Our view: genuinely rare, but not demonstrably collectible. Until secondary market demand strengthens, we would enjoy the whisky rather than speculate on the bottle.
