Moist Pear and Frangipane Tart is SMWS 64.105, a 12 Year Old Mannochmore distilled in 2005 and bottled in 2018 from a refill ex bourbon barrel, with just 212 bottles produced. Today there are no recorded retail listings on Whiskybase, confirming that the original release has largely disappeared from the market. However, we could not find enough verified auction transactions to establish either a meaningful price trend or CAGR. Despite the tiny outturn, Mannochmore does not command the collector following of more sought after distilleries. Our view: rarity alone is not enough here. Unless stronger secondary market demand develops, this is a bottle we would open rather than preserve purely as an investment.
